I have cancer. Stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer. I’m 41. The youngest my doctor has seen for this kind of cancer. Balling my eyes out as I post this. I took this selfi a few hours after I found out. I was in the cancer center wing at st Michael’s where they asked why I was wearing that kind of nail polish, while being in the cancer unit. “I just found out”. Where I told them I don’t even drink and they told me “well don’t start now”. My dreams and hopes were so big for this year. I’m not navigating this well. Thank you to all my couples and clients who have been so loving and understanding. This is literally my worst nightmare. Cancer is a luck of the draw. You can take care of yourself, do everything g you know to be correct and true and it can still end up at your door. It’s nothing I would ever wish on anyone. My books are officially closed until further notice. Please I have amazing people I can refer you to. I will also be back! Once I have energy etc, I need to have my passion, thriving is important! Love to you all! Please pray for me! Xoxo

They also didn’t have their family from all over the globe to join them, so they decided to rent a house on Kitsap Lake and get the family together to celebrate. The way this family came together was so beautiful! It was like they were all destined to be family. Since eloping they found out they are expecting! 🤍🫶🏼🤍

When they asked for a 7pm wedding, I knew I needed to bring the lanterns! We did an easy little hike, which luckily I’ve done a ton of times and with my weighted vest. So I was prepared to hike it with my gear no problem. I traded in my nice dress for biker shorts and hiking saddles, just in case I needed to get into the river to get the shot! Luckily I could scale the rocks and that would be sufficient. These two decided to elope on a Wednesday, Nikki’s grandmas birthday! How special! They made their day about them and special to them. If there is a dress involved, I get that all spread out perfect, and then file in all the people that need photos with them. if I need different photos with just the person wearing a dress, I ask the other to step away. This makes family/friend photos go quick and smooth! Theres not a lot of messing with the dress etc after that ;) after formalities are out of the way, then we can do the more fun stuff!!

Hannah & Taylor | 7.19.2025 | Hood Head Island | Gosh what a dreamy perfect wedding day! I started my morning by being picked up by pontoon boat, heading on over to Hood Head Island! I was greeted by Hannah’s family and friends and they treated me like family. Telling me stories. Feeding me REALLY WELL and even lending me a jacket without me even asking. The two’s families hospitality was unmatched and said so much about the union they will now carry. I’m truly happy for them and hope to run into them in the wild of #kitsapCounty. It’s funny. Or is it? I don’t believe anything is of chance or coincidence, more of reason and purpose. I’ve weirdly dreamed about going to this island my whole life out of curiosity and wonder. When they mentioned it on our consult call, that their family owned a cabin on the island, and that’s where it would be held. I knew it was all very meant to be. Cheers to a million years together 🍻🍻 xoxo

Mid day gallivanting around the neighborhood with my friends, we would stop in the restaurant and order a drink and some fries. Then off to pop in to an open house my grandma was throwing, so we could have some fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. I love shooting here cause it makes me feel like a kid again. Some of my best memories were made in @mccormickwoods. My dad was a custom home builder / architect. When he would go to work, my bike would go in the back of the truck and off I went! Oh childhood, how I miss you. Looking forward to more weddings here 🤍

Just a few reasons why I love to get shots behind the wedding party if it feels appropriate. In this situation, @mccormickwoods is perfect! No one could see me, I was hiding behind the guys, and a pillar. In my opinion, it is so much better than getting up front and in the way of the family or far on the sides. What do you think?

It’s taken me so long to post this! I just couldn’t get the reel good enough for me 😂 We got engaged in Arizona, I was told we were going on a hike to watch the sunrise. Then we pulled into the hot air balloon spot (which has been on my bucket list). He knew my favorite jeweler ( @berlingerjewelry ) and did an amazing job picking an art deco ring (art deco is my fav!) then asked my family out to top golf where we told them and celebrated. He showed the ring to our sweet Molly doggo who had already passed, before he proposed. Which had me in tears!!! He even rented my dream car for the week. Now I need to hire a PHOTOGRAPHER!! We really can’t decide! It’s wild being a bride and on the other side of everything. I truly think this is already making me be a better vendor. Xoxo

Emme called me one night while I was editing photos. She said she wanted me to capture their wedding and i quote “I seen your photos on your website and I gasped!” I honestly wanted to cry from hearing those words! Like. HOW SWEET!She told me how her and her now husband have known each other since middle school! That she has always pictured a first look in the middle of the isle of her sanctuary with the cross behind her, and her best friend’s dad officiating her wedding. Well. Her dreams came true. This wedding had to get expedited for Tanner is off serving our country as I type this. A wedding like this hits close to home for me. I grew up in the church and I understand the in and outs of what one would want in capturing such precious memories. Although I no longer attend, I still love Jesus. I pray that Tanner and Emme have a love that is patient and kind, but most of all full of love, for that is Gods greatest commandment. Xoxo you two!

If I could go back and lift my baby in the air looking them in the eye one more time. Seeing that smile of endless love in my baby girl for her momma. I would in a heartbeat. Having photos like these. Gosh I wish I would have! I’m fortunate enough to have been a photographer for near their whole lives. But I was never in FRONT of the camera. Vulnerable post. The cover photo photo I took, it is my mom and sister on my sister’s wedding day around 15 years ago. I cherish it so very much! I have another one of my mom at twos other siblings weddings. She hated taking photos! So we are so happy to have the ones we have. My losses have made me a better photographer. I see things differently, almost in a light of mortality. I know that seems dark and weird, but they say that when you greive hard it means you have loved hard. I see love in a way that I have never seen it before. All of our lives are so fleeting, in so Many ways, not just death. Our lives change in different ways for circumstances and small decisions that ended up being life changing. Loved ones moving far away, jobs changing etc. My job is to immortalize your most special people, love, emotion, feelings, and day. So that when you miss them the most, you can come back to that photo and say “🦋gosh I remember that feeling!🦋” It’s not just a memory, it’s bringing that memory back to reality. Kills me to make this post. Our girl Molly crossed over the rainbow bridge this afternoon. She lived a long life of 17.5 years, and I’m so thankful! She’s been with me for almost my whole adult life. Has helped me through some low and high times. Has been here for my kids whole lives. Has found a love for DJ that I’ve never seen in her before. Her unconditional love can not be measured, and we already miss her so dang much! Another year, another loss during the holidays. I will be taking the next few days to grieve. Xo
